Class description

She carries all her possessions on her back. Everything from sleeping mat, firewood and basket to her shell purse. Student chooses fabric for skirt and head band and all colors and beads. These 9 to 10 inch tall dolls are fun to make!

This is a "beginner friendly" class. Each student will receive a class-ready gourd and the materials to complete ONE doll.

What you are asked to bring

Each student is asked to bring the following items to class:

* Scissors

* Small paint brush

* Wood burner (only required if you want to add wood burned designs)

Class Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel this class, you MUST contact us before September 1, 2021 in order to receive a refund. Note that NGS will withhold $10 to cover processing fees. To cancel, call Patti Jo Newsom at 817-917-7873 or email us at [email protected]

If this class does not meet its minimum number of students by the class cancellation cut-off date, the class will be cancelled, you will be contacted, and your registration fee will be refunded.

About the instructor

I come from a watercolor painting past and have been decorating gourds for 20 years. I love all aspects; wood burning, beading, jewelry, carving. And I enjoy sharing my love of gourds with others.
