Class description

Learn a new way to use alcohol inks to create a lovely wall plaque. In this fun class you will have your choice from 3 designs--a Dragonfly, a Monarch Butterfly, or a Blue Emperor Swallowtail Butterfly. The end result is a vibrant image with the look of batik cloth. Although this technique can easily be applied to gourds, for this class we will be using a 5x7 inch oval wooden plaque for our canvas. When done, we will glue the oval plaque inside an 8x10 inch box frame.

This class is for all levels of gourders. I will supply almost everything you need for the class, including:

1 5x7 oval plaque

1 8x10 box frame

All 3 patterns

A fine point black Sharpie

Leather dye and ink dyes

Acrylic paints

Mod Podge

Mini applicators

Krylon Fixative

Krylon Satin Spray sealer

Dropper bottles of alcohol

Micro Fiber Lace

Step-by-step instructions for each design
