Class description
Join us as we enjoy creating this African influenced necklace. This is a great opportunity to practice your wood burning skills. With a writing tip on your wood burner handle, I will show you how to surface burn a tangle pattern on a gourd disk. A shank button is used for the center. You can bring one you really like or choose one from my collection. We will add some elephant beads that fit our theme and color the disc with ink dyes and Prismacolor pencils. I will also share my method for adding a chain with beads.
This class is for all levels.
I will supply beads, and embellishments, Gourd discs, Jewelry findings
What you are required to bring
Long-nose and flat nose pliers, Gourd dyes/rubber gloves and brush supplies, Spray bottle of alcohol, Woodburning tool with writing tip handle, Prismacolor pencils. Note: If you don't have Prismacolor pencils, you can purchase an inexpensive set of them from all of the major hobby stores, as well as online from Amazon and Walmart.
Class Cancellation Policy
