About the instructor

Mardella has been creating gourd art and teaching since 2010. She has shown in several galleries and won awards in festivals. She has also taught Rosemaling acrylic painting for 28 years at Camp Norga, Ca. She does not create in one genre but tends to start with a design in mind, then lets the gourd guide her to a finish. She also incorporates botanicals on her gourd art that she collects on her daily walks to create something out of the ordinary.
