Class description

This workshop offers an exploration of applying acrylic inks to textiles in an innovative, but easy technique. We will experiment on cotton initially to get the feel of the inks, then move to silk scarves. Each student will complete two silk scarves. We will use some folding techniques to create different patterns. Art produced using these inks has a rich, vibrant and luminous appearance.

This class is for all levels.

I will supply 2 cotton squares, 2 - 5' silk scarves, acrylic inks mixed with a fabric medium, string/cardboard/pvc pipes for folding techniques. Protective gloves.

What you are required to bring

Good attitude and creative thoughts. Apron (not required but helpful if you are wearing nice clothes)
