Class description


A wall pocket can hold keys, a battery candle or be a prayer pocket. The sunflower shape is a great design to learn intricate filigree, wood-burning and shading. All levels of gourd enthusiasts will feel comfortable and have fun creating this design.


We will provide a prepared canteen gourd, gourd inks and dyes, sawtooth wall hanger, sunflower template 


What you are required to bring


We will have these tools available to share, but to avoid waiting, consider bringing your own.

* woodburner

* high speed carver (or dremel)

* filigree burr and Saburrtooth burr (for skinning)

* heat gun to set ink

* apron, N95 dust mask, eye protection


Class Cancellation Policy

Dennis and Connie Brady are traveling gourd art instructors based out of Western Colorado. As long-time educators, they enjoy providing historical and practical information and ensuring their students have a fun learning experience.
