Class description


Create a spectacular hanging horse gourd planter. Learn how to wood burn on the inner part of the gourd without burning deep and enhanced with ink dye and weaving pine needles around the lip.


This class is for all levels of gourders. Some students will finish, but others like to work slowly. The students will have all the instructions and materials to finish the project at home.


The instructor will provide a clean cut and ready gourd, pattern ready to transfer, tutorial, ink dyes, Formula 49, micro brushes, pine needles, needle, wax linen, artificial plants and embellishments.


What you are required to bring


Each student is required to bring the following items to class:

  • Temperature controlled wood burner with a rounded skew
  • Face mask
  • Protective eye wear
  • E6000 glue
  • Small sharp scissors

Class Cancellation Policy

About the instructor


I was introduced to gourds in 1998. Loved the non-conventional canvas. Self taught in wood burning, carving, ink dye, pen & ink & alcohol ink. Still exploring other mediums. Lately enjoying travel around the country teaching.
